Connect Microsoft 365 / Outlook

What the M365 integration does, how to set it up, and what to do if it fails.

Connect Microsoft 365 / Outlook

With the Microsoft 365 integration, MailManagers signs in to your Outlook mailbox using your M365 account. We use that for upcoming automatic sync of your signature to Outlook (web and desktop), so you no longer have to paste it manually.

> Status: in preview for Team subscribers. Today the integration does not yet sync automatically โ€” for now, use the Chrome extension (Gmail / Outlook web) or the Install / Copy button in the signature editor.

Who is it for?

  • Team subscription required
  • A Microsoft 365 / Outlook mailbox (work or personal)
  • You must either be able to authorize your own tenant, or have your IT admin grant organization-wide consent

Step by step

  1. In your portal, go to Integrations โ†’ Exchange / Microsoft 365.
  2. Click + Connect with Microsoft 365.
  3. Microsoft asks you to sign in โ€” choose the account whose signature you want to link.
  4. Grant the requested EWS permissions (Exchange Web Services, read access to your mailbox).
  5. You return to MailManagers with a new row in the connections list, status Connected.

Does the connection work?

Click Test connection next to your new connection. The system makes an EWS call to your Inbox folder and shows the result:

  • โœ… "Inbox folder: Inbox" โ€” all good
  • โŒ EWS error code with description โ€” usually an admin-consent or token issue

Something went wrong?

  • "AADSTS50105: User account from organization X is not allowed" โ€” Your M365 tenant blocks third-party apps. Ask your IT admin for admin consent (org-wide approval), or try a personal account.
  • Status: Error with "token expired" โ€” Click Disconnect and reconnect; the refresh token may have expired.
  • Nothing happens after clicking "+ Connect" โ€” Disable your pop-up blocker and try again.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect next to the connection. Tokens are removed from MailManagers immediately. To fully revoke the Azure app consent, go to portal.azure.com โ†’ Enterprise applications โ†’ MailManagers โ†’ Properties โ†’ Delete.

Today vs. soon

| Feature | Status | | ------- | ------ | | Live signature sync to Outlook | Coming soon | | Chrome extension for Gmail / Outlook web | Available | | Install / Copy (manual paste) | Available |

When live sync rolls out, you'll receive an email; you won't need to do anything โ€” the connection you create now stays valid.
